Bahia Principe San Juan Hotel stands on a private 5-km long beach protected by a coral reef. The hotel is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation with mangroves all over the area. The complex also has 3 lake-type swimming-pools with a children's section, jacuzzi, and activities pool in one, a large sundeck, sunshades, sunbeds and a towel service at the swimming pools and beach. There's a Mini-Club for children, concert hall/theatre, entertainment and evening shows. The hotel also has (floodlit) tennis courts, basketball courts, a miniature golf course, football pitch, watersports center and a fully equipped gym. Several tropical gardens are available for guests to stroll while enjoying the sea breeze and cool natural surroundings.

La Brisas - Open-air place serves sumptuous international-food buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
El Chiringuito - Specializes in Italian cuisine, with a buffet for lunch and a la carte dinners. Dinner reservations are required. Men are requested to wear long pants and sleeve-shirts.
El Rincon Mexicano - Serves a Mexican buffet at lunch and an a la carte grilled items at dinner. Dinner reservations are required. Men are requested to wear long pants and sleeve-shirts.
La Orquidea - A la carte dinner restaurant featuring Mediterranean cuisine. Reservations are required. Men are requested to wear long pants and sleeve-shirts.
La Casita Blanca - Located on the beach, this casual spot serves hamburgers, hot dogs, and other fast food from late morning until just after dark.
Pescador - Located in Pueblo Principe, this restaurant specializes in lobster. Food and drink here is not part of the All-Inclusive Plan and must be purchased separately.
La Hacienda - International buffet serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For Club Hacienda Principe Guests only.
Pueblo Principe - This Dominican-style shopping/entertainment village located just inside the resort's entrance includes a karaoke bar, a live-music rock bar, a disco bar, and a casino bar. All remain open all night, or until the last customer leaves.
Los Nudos - Serves juices and non-alcoholic beverages next to the main pool.
Cabaret - This bar is located in an open-air theater where shows are presented nightly by the resort's staff.
La Cana, Milenium Playa, and El Chiringuito - These lobby bars remains open until 11 PM.
The resort includes three beach bars under thatch-roof palapas.
