Grand Case Beach Club

The Grand Case Beach Club sits at the end of a white-sand beach, just steps away from the quaint village of Grand Case, on the northwest coast of French St Martin. The bougainvillea-draped resort appeals to adults seeking informal home-away-from-home comfort and access to the sun, watersports, and the village of Grand Case's art shops and row of restaurants, known as the "gastronomic capital of the Caribbean."

At the resort's front, a blunt promontory separates two beaches. One is a narrow, mile-long strip washed by the sea up to the resort's seawall, above which are cushioned lounge chairs under thatch shades and seagrape trees. The other is a wider, 200-yard stretch furnished with lounge chairs, hammocks, and umbrellas. Atop the promontory is a 12-by-30-foot pool with a sea view from a 30-foot bluff.

There is an artificial grass tennis court (lit for night play), a watersport center with a variety of complementary services, an on-site auto rental service provided by Prestige Car Rental, and a fresh water swimming pool. Other daytime activities include snorkeling, scuba trips and scuba dive courses, island trips, 37 different beaches, duty-free shopping, golf on the course at Mullet Bay, excursions to neighboring islands (Anguilla, St Barts, Saba...). Five 2 and 3 story buildings are separated from the sand by a colorful garden of bougainvillea, hibiscus and coconut palms. From your room it's only a couple of steps down to the beach dotted with umbrellas for shade, and you have the ambiance of Grand Case, the "cuisine capital of the Caribbean" just down the beach.

Sunset Cafe - Open-air restaurant set over Caribbean Sea, with view of Anguilla on the horizon. Seating is on a wood-floor veranda shaded by striped awning.All guests have the option of a complimentary Continental breakfast each morning served in the Sunset Cafe. A complimentary cocktail party is held on Monday nights.

Enjoy your stay in any of the apartments and townhouses. They all have either oceanfront or garden view ambiance. You can choose from 42 studios, 19 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom apartments and townhouses with red corrugated-steel roofs and no elevators (by request only). Colorful island-motif fabrics brighten all-white rooms, which feature rattan furniture and tile floors. Louvered front doors and windows allow fresh air to circulate with balcony or patio doors open. VCRs are available on request.

Every unit has a fully equipped kitchen, balcony or terrace, and such amenities as a hair dryer, satellite TV, in-room safe, cd/stereo, complimentary continental breakfast, bottle of french wine, and of course, air conditioning.
