Resort Information
Casa de Campo is located on a quarter-mile of beach dotted with palm trees. Sand-bottom swimming and water-sports area is protected by an artificial reef. Centrally located near guestrooms within the resort's main-building area, two large pools occupy a two-level complex divided by a gentle waterfall. The lower pool offers shaded cabanas and a large swim-up bar. The upper pool leads to a thatch-roof, wood-deck dining area that shades the swim-up bar below. Sundecks surrounding the pools are furnished with thickly cushioned, white wrought-iron lounge chairs. Fourteen other pools are scattered around the resort.
A mini-country unto itself, the 7,000-acre Casa de Campo includes 1,500 private vacation homes for wealthy Americans and Dominicans, one of Latin America's principal polo complexes, three golf courses, a shooting club, an equestrian center, a marina village, and a replication of a 16th-century Italian village above a river gorge. Rolling terrain features natural forests, extensive gardens, and fruits and vegetables for resort restaurants.
Complimentary shuttle service transports guests around the property. Golf carts and mountain bicycles can also be rented.
