Playa del Carmen's 5th Avenue, a mile-long promenade of shops and restaurants, begins roughly two blocks away. The resort features a free-form swimming pool (including a shallow children's section) running 200 feet along the oceanfront. Lounges and thatched-roof palapas line the pool's surrounding sundeck. Steps down from the pool deck, the beach extends 100 yards north to the Cozumel ferry terminal and for miles south and is furnished for a 50-yard stretch by the resort's umbrellas and cushioned lounges. To reach the Cozumel ferry terminal, guests can wend their way from the resort's entrance through an adjacent shopping center.
A beauty shop offers massage and facials as well as waxing, hair braiding, and hair and nail care. A coin-operated kiosk in the lobby bar provides high-speed Internet access. The hotel's staff speaks fluent English. The hotel purifies its water.
