Anchorage Beach Resort

The Anchorage Resort is set on the beach of Cowpet Bay, home of St. Thomas Yacht Club. Graced by tall Royal Palms, flowering gardens, and broad lawns, the resort provides holidays for couples and families seeking a tranquil atmosphere with cooking and laundry facilities for convenience and economy.A 50-yard beach and a wood deck surround a 40-by-24-foot pool. Use of snorkeling gear, tennis rackets/balls, and two lighted tennis courts is complimentary. A watersports center one-third-mile away on Cowpet Bay rents personal watercraft and other equipment.A small, 24-hour, air-conditioned fitness room contains cardio machines and free weights. The resort includes a security gate at the entrance.

Dining

Arthur's Cafe - Casual, open-air restaurant and bar located on beach and adjacent to swimming pool. Pink table linens. Lunch menu of salads, sandwiches, and burgers. Dinner menu featuring conch fritters, fried calamari, salads, pastas, chicken, Danish-style baby back ribs, steak, lobster, shrimp, and scallops.

175 two-bedroom, two-bath suites in four-story cream-colored buildings with textured exteriors, pink wood accents, and gray wood railings. All rental suites are located on the ground and second floors and feature furnished terraces or balconies providing partial ocean views.

Individually owned and rented in owners' absences, suites are decorated according to owners' tastes. Both ceiling fans and air conditioning provide cooling. Televisions with U.S. cable channels and VCRs supply entertainment. There is also a microwave and washer and dryer. Housekeeping is provided Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Located at Cowpet Bay 2 miles away from the town of Red Hook with ferries to St. John and the British Virgin Islands. The resort is just eight miles from Charlotte Amalie and its duty free shopping and ten miles from the airport.
