Resort Information
The blossom-draped resort is bordered on the south side by a river where fishing families living on the mountainside moor their boats. On the beach south of the river is a row of open-air cantinas. Scuba divers and snorkelers enjoy the proximity to the giant offshore rocks and arches comprising Los Arcos National Park 1.75 km (1 mi) away.
Two lagoon-style pools lie at Barcelo Premium's center, one for adults that contains a waterfall arch and a rock-garden island sheltering a 10-person spa tub and the other for families that is bordered by rock waterfalls and contains a swim-up bar. In addition, there's a free-form children's pool featuring a short waterslide, a sports pool, and a 12-person family spa tub. Mismaloya Beach extends 100 meters (109 yds) along the cove fronting the resort.
A 1.75-km (1-mi) jogging path offering spectacular ocean views extends along a mountainside past the two Night of the Iguana restaurants.
A health-and-beauty spa includes a complimentary air-conditioned fitness center with women's and men's steam room, cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights.
A business center includes six computers with high-speed Internet access (surcharges).

El Patio - Casual open-air restaurant offering buffets and ŕ la carte menus for breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Bocaccio - Air-conditioned fine-dining restaurant serving ŕ la carte dinners. Reservations required. Dress code: Long pants, sleeved shirts, closed-toe shoes for men.
John Huston's Restaurant - This small open-air place is perched on a rugged mountain at the mouth of Mismaloya cove and offers panoramic views of the scuba-diving/snorkeling rocks-and-arches called Los Arcos, the ocean, the mountains, and sunsets.
The Sets of the Night of the Iguana Restaurant - Open-air restaurant features Mexican food. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Beach Club - Casual open-air spot serving pizza, burgers, hot dogs, barbecue, and other snack foods from mid-morning to late night.
Sports World Bar - Air-conditioned sports bar/disco with televisions, pool tables, complimentary jukebox. Open from late afternoon to early morning. DJ music.
La Cantina Bar - Open-air bar in resort's shopping arcade. Complimentary jukebox. Open from late morning to early morning.
Aqua Bar - Pool bar open from late morning to early evening.
Room Information
303 spacious guest suites in two 10-story buildings with red-tile roofs. Balconies are furnished with four-chair dining sets and offer either garden/partial ocean views or, on upper floors, full ocean views. Beds feature pillowtop mattresses. Bedrooms provide ceiling fans in addition to air conditioning.
