Question: What are the differences between Aruba and Antigua?

Question Description:
Can anyone please let me know the main differences between these two islands. I am 25 and booking a vacation in Sept with my girlfriend and we have narrowed it down to these two islands, thanks in advance!

Answer#1: The main difference is that Aruba doesn't have much in terms or activities to keep you occupied. It's a nice place but because of its size, doesn't offer much. The food there is nice, but Antigua has it all - lovely beaches (365 of them), day and nightlife activities, the people are warm, accommodating friendly, the local food is divine and so much more. You won't regret a trip here.

Answer#2: well i'm from the caribbean an the difference is that Aruba is a place to go when you want relaxation and is very good for touring and sight seeing and Antigua is a island to go when u want to have fun night life and somewhere to party everynight....but i am from NEVIS maybe u can consider coming here we have both beautiful beach great attraction for tourtist and you can relax an also have fun at the same time.

Answer#3: Aruba is like a desert or desert like and they speak dutch antigua has a lot of beaches and it's flat, i've been there it's nice but ican't really speak dat much for aruba

Answer#4: I will try to describe the differences in the 2 islands.Aruba is a desert like island. It hardly rains here and very seldom is this island effected by hurricanes. The resorts and good beaches are basically on one side of the island. You have constant trade winds. All the divi trees are bend to one side due to this. The island is 8 miles long. It's a dutch island and the people are very friendly and nice. Antigua boasts 365 beaches, one for every day of the year. Antigua is more lush and hurricanes do happen here.Antigua is British. The people are also very friendly and nice. Both Islands have lots of excursions and duty free shopping. They both accept American dollars and you need a passport to visit the islands if you fly from the USA.The difference really is one(Antigua) can get hurricanes in Sept and the other Aruba is mostly likely not be effected by hurricanes. You are traveling in Sept and Sept and Oct are the worst months for hurricanes. Something to think about. They are both lovely islands.Good Luck in your choice.
