Question: Caribbean vacation?
Question Description:
I am looking for some recommendations on places to
vacation in the Caribbean. I know there are a ton
of islands to choose from but I would like some
recommendations from people that have been there.
I am looking for the following:1. Nice beaches
that aren't too crowded (will be going in June of
this year)2. A place that offers other activities
besides hanging out at the beach. (i.e. hiking,
biking, cultural activities)3. Something that is
geared more towards couples.I have looked at
Aruba, St. Lucia and Barbados. Aruba seems a
little too 'resort' oriented but the beaches look
really nice along with the turquoise water. I am
also pondering Belize and wonder if anyone has
been there. If you have any hotel recommendations
that would be appreciated too. I am thinking
about All-Inclusive but have heard some bad things
about that. I like the fact that the drinks are
included but I don't like the fact that we would
be limited to eating at specific places. Thanks!

Answer#1: I've been to many of the islands and parts of
Mexico which you may want to consider too. For a
Caribbean island that doesn't seem to get too much
exposure and which may fit your needs, you may
want to check out St. Kitts (St. Christopher).
Check out the link below. Feel free to
e-mail/message me if you think I can be of any
more help. You may also want to go on to YouTube
and enter in st. kitts to watch some videos on the
island and, of course, there are the sites like
trip advisor to check out too.
Answer#2: I've been to Barbados 5 times so far, and planning
the next trip there but then again, I don't stay
at any resorts as I have friends. So, maybe you
could do more research on it some more, maybe call
some places, or better yet e-mail at your
convience, but then again, I don't know.
Answer#3: Check out Providenciales Turks and Caicos. They
have the most beautiful beaches and the water is
awesome. Grace Bay is the place to stay. My
husband and I loved this island. Go to this
website and you will find a ton of reviews and
info on this island http://www.tripadvisor.com click on the
caribbean and a list of islands will come up.Good
Luck and happy planning.
Answer#4: Check out Curacao. It's tight next to Aruba, has
waaay prettyer beaches, offers great outdoor
adventures (hiking, biking, horseback riding,
snorkel, scuba, sailing), has a very rich and
diverse culture wich can be seen everywhere, and
with plenty of places to get in thouch with the
islands own culture (local food, local dances,
museums, arquitecture) and pretty much all hotels
on the island have some couples-orriented
activities. http://www.curacao.com/ http://www.carmabi.org/default.asp
Answer#5: For all of the above - visit Antigua - 365 lovely
beaches, the Sandals resort is awesome. Warm,
friendly, accommodating people. Great day and
nighttime activities.You won't regret it!!Check it
out for yourself http://www.antiguanice.com/
