Question: Where to stay in Caribbean?

Question Description:
I'm going on my honeymoon in the beginning of October. To avoid hurricanes and inclement weather, I would like to go to the southern Caribbean. Either Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, or St. Lucia (maybe Aruba). Is there anyone that has been to more than one of these places that can help. We like to be beach bums during the day, but we want to have clubs to go to and other fun stuff as well. Thanks.

Answer#1: Barbados and St. Lucia...

Answer#2: tell you what...take a trip down to Belize..you'll fall in love..trust me!!!

Answer#3: I have been to St. Lucia and to Aruba. I have heard Barbodos is very pretty but not really much to do. If you are worried about the hurricanes then Aruba would be your best choice. Aruba, Bonnaire, and Curacao are THE ONLY Carribean islands that are outside of the hurricane belt. So you will have no worries about that. It is also very beautifull and there are a lot of fun bars there. Especially Carlos and Charlie's. The island is very small and you can see it all in one day so you have the rest of your vacation for your "honeymoon stuff" : ) Hope this helps.

Answer#4: My best suggestion would be to go to Barbados. They are a perfect honeymoon spot. They have some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and you can even choose a different beach for each day that you are there (thats how many they have). In terms of clubbing/partying, I would suggest that you visit St.Lawrence's Gap. That is party central. There are a variety of hotspots to choose from and they each equally cater to your various party needs.I have also visited Aruba. Its a very nice island but I don't think it offers all the things that you and your spouse may be looking for.Have fun

Answer#5: Barbados would be my choice. Trinidad isn't much of a honeymoon spot, though Tobago has nice beaches. Trinidad usually has some type of party going on and eco-tourism but not much as far as beaches are concerned (unless you are driving). Barbados, however has a nightlife in addition to nice beaches. It's more convenient to get around in Barbados vs Trinidad. You can rent a car, take public transportation, or if you're staying on the beach, you can walk to banks, restaurants and grocery stores if you need to. Accomodation is more plentiful in Barbados vs Trinidad, though St. Lucia also caters to tourists & they have all-inclusives such as Sandals if that is what you are looking for. If hurricane season is a concern, Barbados would also be my choice. They don't typically have the concerns as other islands as far as a hurricane hitting (vs Jamaica or Caymans). St. Lucia is nice as well, though you're likely to experience more rain there. You can also consider St. Vincent & the Grenadines. They have wonderful beaches, though not as much nightlife. On the other hand, you can visit Bequia, Mustique and the rest of the Grenadines in the day.Whatever your decision is, good luck & have a great time.

Answer#6: Can recomend U Curacao, which is right next to Aruba.

Answer#7: partying ....trinidad hop over to tobago four some beautiful beaches

Answer#8: i recommend taking a cruise rather than staying at one location. Everything is included which gives you more opportunity with the funds you have available to do great things like snorkeling deep sea diving and other great activities. The travel time on the boat is spectacular and usually if you consider that your food is included it can be much cheaper. The boats usually go to port the majority of the days you are traveling that would allow you to be beach bums most days, and the boats have their own night clubs or you can check out the local clubs if on an over night port.I recently took a cruise and it truely was the best vacation I have ever taken. Good luck with the marriage and congratulations

Answer#9: Depends on your personality. If you want to go crazy, go to Trinidad, if you just want to make whoopie, go to Barbados or St. Lucia. Tobago with a couple nights in Trinidad might be a good comprimise. Have fun.

Answer#10: Look into the islands of St. Lucia, and Barbedos.

Answer#11: Ive been everywhere in the Caribbean and I have to say St. Maarten is by far the best choice. beautiful beaches. Chic shopping. Great bars.
