Question: Is there anybody on here that lives in the Caribbean or Bermuda?

Question Description:
If you are I'm just wondering what is it like to live in the Caribbean, and what place are you from?

Answer#1: I am from Curacao (studying in Texas right now), and all I can tell you, is that I would not want to live anywhere else than in the Caribbean. It's peacefull, beautifull, and the beah si always close by. Best place to be.

Answer#2: Most of the islands are a bit behind the rest of the developed world, but that in itself has some benefits.Barabdos, thought not really in the Caribbean, is probably the most developed. We have lived here for 3 years and traveled to some of the other islands and I do feel Barbados is more advanced. Some of the islands are VERY rustic. But mostly the older people are very friendly.

Answer#3: I´m a VIP travel agent for the Dominican Republic, and I live in this country for about 13 years and I love it! I´m from Europe and for me it is "wonderland" just Alice is missing in the play(joke). They speak Spanish ( Castellano) and in the hotels the staff speak some English. For the rest they are very friendly and it is a nice place to come on vacations, especially Puerto Plata ( north coast). If you like more info let me know.

Answer#4: i was born and live in Trinidad and Tobago all my life until i meet my husband now i live in the u.s. living in the Caribbean is like living in heaven to me i miss it very much for we are very lay-back and kind an know how to enjoy life. it is not all about work and the food well that is another story you have to visit the island and choose which one you like best for every island is different we have one thing in common the people are very loving . hope that i was some help to you .

Answer#5: I currently live in Bermuda. I think it is a beautiful island with an almost Utopian society. Very low crime, homelessness and unemployment. Friendly people and a quality style of life. It has helped me put life in perspective coming from Fla. with a high consumption lifestyle. Downsizing is humbling, fun, and necessary (very expensive here).
