Question: Which is the best Caribbean island to visit and why?

Question Description:
My family and I may be going to the Caribbean in October - mother, sister, brother and my son [15 years old] and we are trying to decide between the following islands: Bermuda, The Bahamas, Aruba, The Turks and Caicos Island, The Cayman Islands or St Lucia?Coud you suggest which one would be best ..SOLELY OUT OF THESE ISLANDS [not interested in any of the others .. maybe next year!].. and the reason why that isalnds/ would be best..Thanks!

Answer#1: Go to St. Maarten, one island shared by two nations... and not as expensive as some of the other Caribbean islands, good luck!

Answer#2: If you are flying from the UK go to Aruba simply because the flights with KLM are very cheap.

Answer#3: The US Virgin Islands of St. Thomas, St. John, or St. Croix, For one they are a US possesion and you wouldn't have to worry about passports (assuming you are a US citizen). And secondly, these islands have beaches that have been rated in the top ten in the world.

Answer#4: I would say definitely the cayman islands or aruba. both can be expensive but are well worth it. cayman is a very rich island so the locals really don't bother you for money like other islands. both are extremely gorgeous with great weather. the people, from my experience w/ both, were fun and friendly, and the watersports at aruba are fantastic. i would say that the people were friendlier in cayman though. shopping is good on both too. and the beaches are absolutely breathtaking. oh yeah, if you go to cayman, make sure you go to hell. no kidding, it's a real place. everyone who goes to cayman has to go.

Answer#5: Try Haiti some time for an out of the way destination. You can rent a little thatched house 10 meters from the Beach for 20 us dollars a day. This on the South coast, east of Jacmel a bit. Little town called Kabik. Pay a neighbor girl to cook for you, it is delightful!

Answer#6: i've been to aruba and bahamas, and unless yu go to Atlantis on paradise island, Aruba is the way to go!

Answer#7: This may help some..Bermuda is actually a Beautiful place to go...This would be something that the adults would really enjoy...but not a 15 year old. The Bahamas have a lot of things to do for everyone...depending on the hotel that you stay...you could have everything paid (all inclusives) Aruba is good for snorkeling, believe this or not...but aruba is made up of desert landscaping..lots of cacti...Turks and Caicos...known for the caves and salt lakes and cliffs...they are not as developed in the tourist activities...Beautiful island...absolutley beautiful....The caymans are known for the 7 mile beach, shopping, snorkeling..stingrays, diving, caves, I love the cayman islands, not very many all inclusives here, 15 year old would lik it...can be alittle pricey...St. Lucia-rain forest...jeep safaris'...shopping...snorkeling and scuba...this is a very peaceful and relaxing island to go to....St. Lucia

Answer#8: i have heard aruba ,,, my friends were there ,,, omg i would love 2 go there ,,, lucky u ,,,,,,enjoy

Answer#9: I have been to the Bahamas, Aruba and St. Lucia. Of these, I would pick St. Lucia. It is absolutely beautiful. We visited there on a cruise. Aruba is very expensive and I thought the locals were not very friendly. The snorkeling is good there, though. The Bahamas just isn't what it used to be, unless you go to the Atlantis on Paradise Island (so I've heard).

Answer#10: china
