Question: Just won 2 round trip tix airfare - Where to go?

I want to go to the Caribbean after New Years (Jan 2 - Jan 7) just a short get away. I was thinking of Mexico (never been). I am taking my boyfriend and 7 yr. old - we both snorkel and want somewhere that my daughter will enjoy. In Mexico, either Acapulco, Cancun or Cozumel. If not there then Aruba or Bermuda (been there twice but my daughter and boyfriend haven't), St. Maarten or St. Thomas - last choice because its a short trip.I live in NYCIf I picked Bermuda I would wait until April or May. Barbados was not a choice unfortunately. I just want a nice winter break.

Answer#1: Cozumel is really nice. Lots of history and culture in Cozumel and Cancun. I just cancelled a trip to the grand Mayan in Acapulco, but the resort seems very family friendly and gets good reviews. If I were you I would research the various islands and find one that is family friendly and has the most expensive tickets, so you get more bang for your buck.

Answer#2: I would recommend Cozumel since both you and your boyfriend snorkel. But Bermuda is a GO if you can wait until April or so. One of my girls who I know for life went to Bermuda and had a blast. Since you've been there twice, you know your way around so it would definitely help your daughter and your boyfriend with best experiences. ;)I really envy you for winning those round trip airfare tickets. :x Congratuations, by the way.Hope this helps.

Answer#3: This is an easy answer. If you all are into snorkeling, go to Cozumel. Excellent snorkeling. That is my first pick.I think Bermuda would be to cold in January. It's right off the the coast of USA. You need to get away from the Atlantic ocean. Go south.The snorkeling in Cancun isn't that great. Check out the Riviera Maya area. Good snorkeling Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel. I would suggest an all-inclusive resort. (food and drink included) The Palace resorts or Iberostar resorts would be reasonable and fun.St Thomas is less than a 4 hour trip from New York. Fantastic snorkeling in St Thomas. Plus it's a USA territory, no passport required.Enjoy and congratulation on winning those round trip tickets. That's great.)

Answer#4: I would go to Bermuda. Mexico is nice, but there won't be much there for your daughter. Bermuda at least is clean and safe which I can't say for some of the other places. Have a great trip!
