Question: St. Thomas, Cayman Islands or Puerto Rico?
Question Description:
My wife and I are planning a second honeymoon to
one of these Carribean locales. Does anyone have
any input as to which is better? We will be there
6 days and 5 nights.

Answer#1: I've never been to the Caymans, so I can't comment
on them.I have been to Puerto Rico several times,
and loved it more and more with each visit. (I was
there when the Concorde landed there in 1976, and
everyone partied on the freeways!! lol) There are
a lot of different things to do. Most of the
hotels have an area where you can sign up for a
whole slew of tours. My favorite was the Bacardi
Rum Factory and El Morro fortress. The views from
El Morro are AWESOME.There is (or was) a huge mall
there, called Plaza las Americas. A lot of
familiar stores and lots of neat eateries. You
can also head into Bayamon for more shopping and a
real cultural experience.St. Thomas is a short hop
away, so you can always arrange a one day tour.
Charlotte Amali (not sure of the spelling) was a
really cool place. It was open air markets where
you could get semi-precious gems and jewels to
have set into rings, necklaces or what ever. They
do it there, or you can take your jewels with you
to have done at your own local jeweler.I recommend
seeing Blue Beard's Castle. It has a very romantic
feel to it and the view of the ocean, just outside
the honeymoon suite was breath taking. You also
have Megan's Bay to see, where people sail boats
all over the place. It's gorgeous. No matter what
ya'll decide, have fun. Each island has it's
attractions and the locals will be more than happy
to suggest places to sight see, eat and party.

Answer#3: 1. Puerto Rico (there is something different each
day: Old San Juan, Culebra, El Yunque, Mona
Island, Arecibo Observatory, the caves, Guanica
Forest, etc. The food and dance clubs are great,
too.)2. St. Thomas3. anything but the Cayman
IslandsIf you spend 5 days in the Caymand Islands
you would be wasting money and dead from boredom.
Nice diving/snorkeling but there is no night life.
Once you've been there for 2 days you are ready to
go.Other choices to see are St. Lucia, St. Barts,
Martinique.
Answer#4: Puerto Rico would be my first choice and St Thomas
my second. Both had a lot to do and see. Cayman
islands are nice but reminded me of Aruba, small
not much there to do, plus it is very expensive.
If you just want to relax on the beach for five
days I would say the caymans, but if you're
interested in sightseeing, shopping and culture
then definitely Puerto Rico or St. Thomas.
Answer#5: I like the US Virgin Islands. Why you ask, they
belong to the USA and you can use your dollars
with out worrying about converting your money.
Same with Puerto Rico. Cayman Islands are
expensive. Food and hotel. If you go to St Thomas,
be sure to take a ferry over to St John, you will
see some of the most beautiful beaches. It is 3/4
park land and you don't have a bunch of hotels on
the beaches. I like St Thomas too. Great shopping
and good eating. It can get a bit crowded with the
cruise ships but I still like it.My advice if you
are American stay with the USA islands, better
value for your money. Of course go else where if
you can get a better deal. Have fun and enjoy your
time with you wife.
Answer#6: None of those, The Jewels of the Caribbean, the
Grenadines are the best. Go to Saint Vincent and
the Grenadines and take one of the island's many
boat trips around these beautiful Islands.Same
place they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean.
Beautiful place, good people, brilliant beaches.
You'll love it.SVG Rules.
Answer#7: Cayman Islands!!!!!!!!!
Answer#8: If you take a cruise, you can hit all those
places.....and.....most of everything will be
prepaid like meals, etc.
Answer#9: St. Thomas... the water and beach and everything
their is beautiful
Answer#10: Puerto Rico! <3
