Question Description:
Any body been to soussa in the dominican republic were off at christmas and want any ideas people have on what to do other than swim with the dolphins.???

Answer#1: the domician is very nice u will love it i did in 2005 go on safari and see how they all live and have a great time if u go on safari take pencils and pens for the children in school as they cannot afford it its a poor country and we took clothes too

Answer#2: Dominican Republic is beautiful. I went two years ago and had an amazing time. I done the swim with dolphins and sea lion encounter. I also had an amazing white water rafting excursion and a jeep safari! You will have an amazing timeEnjoy!

Answer#3: You could swim with me if I'm there. I like diving too.

Answer#4: It's not too safe, stay at your resort. If not go to Puerto plata and stay in the resort area....where a few hotels are all together. If not the resort are ain Punta Cana is nice as well.

Answer#5: Had the time of my life there! Life is what you make of it so live it large! Enjoy and maybe I will see you there!

Answer#6: HI! I´m a VIP tour operator in Puerto Plata (Sosua), you will find out that we have about 35 different excursions! Eventailor-made one´s! So don´t worry for having fun it is the place! ( much more than Punta Cana). You can always contact me for info, enjoy your holidays!Gilbert

Answer#7: Me and my partner went to the Dominican Republic 2 years ago.It was a lovely relaxing holiday! The only bad thing is that the entertainment in the hotel is a bit rubbish because it finished at about 11pm each night.I would recommend the following trips:Saona Island - This is the best trip that I have ever been on abroad! Its a National Park in the Dominican Republic and the most beautiful place I have ever been - Well worth the price! We went on a little plane to the other side of the Island then had a speedboat journey towards Saona Island stopping off on the way to swim in the amazing clear water and to feed fish then arriving on the Island to a lovely lunch!Paradise Island & The Mangroves - Yet another great trip to a beautiful little island where you can go snorkling and have a trip on a speedboat....Catamarang - Always a great day out! I make sure that I go on this trip on every holiday!I would recommend that you take Imodeem with you as a lot of people get awful bellys in this place (me included)! Its because they use Coconut Oil in most of their cooking but we are not used to it!Hope you have a great holiday! I wish that I was going back there!

Answer#8: yes its nice but would neve go again. there are nicer islands in the caribbean the dominican is very build up now nearly every part of the island has been build on it has been spoilt. And compared to other holidays we have been on you really do not get anything unless you tip all the time!!! Would recommend Cuba so far is my favourite place it was amazing we have just come back from the Maldives and we were so spoilt there. One tip take plenty of immodium with you, you will need it

Answer#9: SosuaShould be spelt So Sewer. If you swim in the sea, don't swallow...in fact don't get your face wet. Not only does the sewer from the shanty town go into the bay (Direct) but the centre of the Island is a Volcano...which they used as a rubbish tip until the late 90's. The rain washes all those germs down, most nights. If you are in an all inclusive place, you will be OK as the standards will be western. If you use eateries in the towns, you will get ill. From 150 countries visited, I've been ill twice (Properly ill, not the loose poo syndrome which can be cleared in a day). Those two places were India and Dom Republic.

Answer#10: wot a wierd coincidence thats where me and my fella are going next year! you can go on the internet and see wot else you can do we are going to soussa as well you can also do scuba diving lessons in the pool

Answer#11: no but i wont to.

Answer#12: Nope... I'm going next spring though... one of the stops on our cruise, can't wait.

Answer#13: there's absolutely loads to do! i would recommend doing the monster trucks.there's also trips to santiago, dominican safari trips, trips to the small island off the DR, water rafting.your hotel and local companies organise all sorts of trips, but be warned, the local prices can be expensive, and also there are some dodgy people selling trips, especially the beach sellers. you are best going through your hotel/accomodation.

Answer#14: i went to the dominician republic last year all i would say is that everything shuts about 11pm
