Question: Jamaica vacation??
Question Description:
Okay..I want to know...Is Jamaica the only island
in the caribbean that is "filthy and
poor" to tourists.I've been to Jamaica and
found the island to be very beautiful from the
resort to actual country itself..it's an artpiece
to me. Plus it's BOTH relaxed and party
attitutude..you can choose whichever you want to
be..But, tourist keep saying Jamaica is so
filthy..as if it's the most poor and filthy island
of the entire caribbean..People talk like they
know Jamaica like the back of there hands..saying
"Jamaica is messed up by poverty and drug
trade.." they say that as if they read that
out of a book instead of having there own
experience..It seems they have been scared to
venture out...by hear-say..I mean Jamaica is a
THIRD world country..what do people expect?What i
want to know is...Is Jamaica the most filthy and
poor island of all the caribbean b/c I don't hear
anything about any other
island...?*Jamaicans..don't get offended. I LOVE
jamaica..*

Answer#2: As a Jamaican I am not offended, i appreciate your
love my country. Jamaica i like other countries
all over the world, we have our problems. Even
with our problems we still manage to smile. Most
people who say Jamaica is filthy and poor could
not locate it on a map.I have heard bad things
about Cuba but it is also a very beautiful
country, Haiti is actually the poorest country in
the region, filthy i could not tell u never been
there myself but I will ask my haitian friends. I
currently live in Germany and even here this clean
country has its problems but the way they live
remind me of home, a little laid back. Jamaica and
Jamaicans stand out because of our rich heritage
and our pride but we can take the good with the

Answer#3: no its not that bad at all, lots of people go
their for trips, i dont ever hear people saying
that its dirty or people are mean. Or course, if i
had to choose between Tahiti or jamaica i would
b/c its less crowded and more tropical
