Question: Should i go to Jamaica or Punta Cana?????

Question Description:
My husband and I and two other couples are planning on taking a trip in November and we r not sure where to go. We r not sure if it is even a good idea to go in November. If any one has any advice it would be helpful. We r thinking about breezes runaway bay or couples ocho rios in jamaica. If we go to punta cana we are looking at majestic, sunscape the beach, or melia. If any one has any opinions on any of these it would be greatly appreciated.

Answer#1: If you visit either of those countries in November it'll be fine but they've never been hit with hurricanes at that time and the beaches are not crowded and the weather is great. These are my view points on both. All of the resorts are pretty much the same, beautiful beaches, decent shopping, good food, golf courses and massages. Very relaxing basically. In Jamaica though, Most of the resorts are pretty similar. You'll also find everything there that you'll get at Punta Cana, the biggest difference is the Night Life. At Punta Cana I found myself just sitting at a bar at night or listening to Karaoke. I got very bored after a couple days. In Jamaica, I had all of that plus more. My friends and I didn't end up back at our rooms till very early morning of the next day. I've realized that Jamaica is a big party country and you'll find lots of fun and crazy foreigners looking to have fun!So just think about that, there are 24 hours and the day and you can only spend so much of it sitting on a beach. You want great day trips and night life. And you can look it up, Jamaica has one of the highest return rates of any of the Caribbean Islands. Once somebody goes, they just want to keep going back. Also, Check out the Jamaica part of Yahoo! answers and you'll see other great reasons to visit.

Answer#2: Puerto Rico,I am not kiding, it's really pretty.

Answer#3: Go to Couples Ocho Rios in Jamaica. Beautiful resort, nice rooms, plenty of activities and good food. You will be treated like royalty.Have a great time and November will be perfect. Hurricane season will just about be over.

Answer#4: In Punta Cana, out of the resorts you picked I love Sunscape the Beach, they have 7 restaurants so you have variety, and 10 bars! I also like it because it offered so many room categories............we had a swim out room with a King bed, just beautiful!! It also has a casino !! The beaches in Punta Cana are beautiful ( Another hotel I stayed at their is the Gran Bahia Principe, that too was awesome )Jamaica is also beautiful but out of the 2 I would choose Punta Cana.Take a long walk on the beach and look for the Shipwreck.....we swam out and went snorkeling.......Take your camera....=)Happy planning

Answer#5: i would say Punta Cana its not as busy with tourists. i have been there twice its beautiful the second time we went we went to sunscape the beach, its was very clean, the staff was excellent, the beach is only a couple years old, and the nice thing about that sunscape u don't have other hotels near so Ur there by Ur self! November might be a little hot, but there heat is a lot different then ours. i don't believe that it would be rainy if it is then there showers last about 5-10 min.have fun remember don't drink the tap water, bottled water, water in restraints and ice cubes are fine. the food is awsome
