Answer#1: Jamaica is all about staying on your hotel
compound. If you're looking for a relaxing
beachside vacation and are content to remain
within the walls of the resort Jamaica is more
visually beautiful. But I find that the threat of
crime outside the resorts is not what I'm looking
for in a vacation. Bahamas is far gentler. It's
totally about the beach. There is not much of a
cultural difference from the US. There are good
restaurants and gambling if you're into that.
Answer#2: Jamaica? but i would recommend a all-inclusive
resort it may be a little more but in the long run
it will be worth it. do not let the crime talk
scare you, this place is no worse than any major
city in America and i am from the Detroit area,
the people are very poor but also the most
friendliest i have ever come across. if you do
choose Jamaica do some research and remember this
is not the U.S. this country is one of the last
true islands that has not been invaded by the
west, here you will not find a McDonald's on every
corner, but in stead little shacks selling jerk
chicken and red stripe beer, this is why i suggest
you stay at a resort like sandals or superclubs.
or Rui they have the best value i feel, and you
do not have to worry about crime or any thing else
just pay your vacation price and come relax. here
there is no tipping and every things included
drinks, food tips ,fun that's up to you. we are
going back to ochos Rios next month to sandals
Dunn's river resort. it is great and we never
worried about any thing just sit back drink and
learn the phrase no problem Mon
Answer#3: Bahamas by far. You can safely travel around the
Bahamian islands, eat at restaurants, go out
partying, shop and have a great time. Due to
crime in Jamaica, you may be very limited to your
resort only. I was recently there for a friends
wedding and the resort staff advised us to never
ever leave at night and only with a tour during
the day.
Answer#4: The Bahamas main islands - Nassau and Grand Bahama
- are exactly like Fort Lauderdale. Flat, not
much scenery. The water is AMAZING, though, and
Atlantis in Nassau is quite the [pricey] sight to
see.Jamaica has more spectacular scenery
BUT...there seems to be more crime, targeted at
tourists, then in the Bahamas. You won't find a
waterfall anywhere in the Bahamas - if you go to
Jamaica stick with a guide or a group and you will
be safe.If you fly from Nassau or Freeport to an
"Out Island" such as Hope Town or Abacos
or Staniel Cay - then you will find a slow paced,
relaxed slice of heaven. Especially if you like
to dive or fish. Good luck!
Answer#5: none
Answer#6: Bahamas. From friends that have gone to Jamaica,
there is more crime risk in Jamaica, even in the
tourist areas. While the Bahamas might not be as
exciting there are still many of the same
activities if you do your research before you go.
From my expereince, it is quite easy to find quiet
beaches, casinos and resturaunts, good snorkeling,
or any other activity you seek. Just avoid the
time-share offers.
Answer#7: never been in that places
Answer#8: ill awnser that when i understand the question..
Answer#9: bahamas more to see and shop
Answer#10: It's all the same to me.
Answer#11: Bahamas because there are Palm Trees and
