Question: Have you ever traveled to an island of the Carribean ?

Question Description:
If you've traveled to Haiti, Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia, St. kitts etc....What was your experience like?

Answer#1: I've been to Barbados, and Trinidad & Tobago (the Trinidad part).Barbados 6 times and planningon returning. There are so many endless things to do. It's an island that I keep coming back to do. I have a lot of friends that I value very much, they are laid back, wonderful, some in their unique ways. The beaches are sooo spectular. The town is known for its duty-free shopping ranging from clothes to jewellery to shoes. Nightlife is GREAT.Trinidad once, as I had a stopover there, and I left the airport, people are friendly, too. I only went to the capital. It's a lovely place to visit, I can give you that.

Answer#2: Punta Cana, D.R is by far one of the nicest islands I've been to, also Aruba is very beautiful but much more expensive. I did not like Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Curaco and Jamaica. St. Martens is very nice but also more pricey and I heard Bermuda and the Cayman Islands are great......but I don't believe they have all inclusive hotels--so they are much more expensive to visit.

Answer#3: bequia a great time

Answer#4: We've actually visited many of the islands and featured them in our magazines. The experience has been great. The Caribbean has lots of lovely hotels, resorts etc, and you've got a wide choice of activities for the day and night.Check out some of the places at our blog,

Answer#5: I have been to all the islands. Most of them are tiny and you can spit from one side to the other offering very little other than beaches.I have been to Cuba which is the biggest but it is very repressed, depressed and in very bad shape. Cubans are not legally allowed to speak with foreigners unless that is their job. They can be arrested for that. They have a quota on food which is in very short supply and they can be arrested if they have more than they are allowed which isn't enough to sustain life. I had dinner in Havana at an open air restaurant. The menu was 10 pages yet they had one or two dishes to sell. There was a line outside the restaurant which I didn't understand until I finished my plate and they scraped the bones into the next in lines newspaper sheet and the next person que'd in line. Sorry state of affairs there. Only thing they put money into is museums of the revolution and communism which is dead and Cuba is a completely failed state.Haiti has been destroyed by its own people. They cut most of the trees down for charcoal to cook with causing flooding and deaths in many areas.Dominican Republic is the second biggest Island next to Cuba. It has several different eco systems. It has the highest peak in the Caribbean called Pico Duarte which gets snow often and frost daily. It has dessert where you see nothing but Cactus. It has lush green mountains where everything grows and they go right down to the beach on the North Coast which is also very lush and beautiful. Simply a great place with people that always have a smile on their faces, great bodies and man can these women dance!I guess I like the Dominican Republic for its differences, freedoms, people and its geography.

Answer#6: I've been to St. Thomas, St. John, St. Martin, Jamaica, Grenada, Martinique, Antigua, The Bahamas, Grand Cayman and St. Lucia. It is my goal to visit every one before I die. I'm still holding onto hope regarding Cuba. It is the best place to spend Feb. March or April rather than the cold upper midwest.

Answer#7: Yes the Caribbean is a good place for vacation,I been to Grenada and the place is like the best, it's an island just above TrinidadThe Beaches in Grenada are so nice white sand clear water, their food is so tasty, and you know beautiful it's different, nice quiet not the busy life. The people are friendly and you would not get lost there. It's an really great place for Vacation. You can try it

Answer#8: I went to Cuba and what an amazing time I had... There is alot of things to see and do. The people are so friendly and helpful. The beaches are beautiful. There is alot of night life in Havana. they have some of the best rum and cigars around which doesn't hurt. I partied my a$$ off while I was there.

Answer#9: Ya, to Tobago, beautiful place. Everywhere was walking distance (saved money), didn't explore. Food is great, a tons of food places around the hotel. You should go.
