Question: what is the best caribbean island to visit?
Question Description:
Need amazing beaches, not too touristy, and fairly
high-end accomodations (but not mega-resorts).
Not interested in places like Puerto Rico, Jamaica
or Dominican Republic. Looking for more off the
beaten path places and would love any advice.

Answer#1: You want first class, not touristy, beautiful,
then you want to go to St. Croix, USVI. You want
to stay at the Buccaneer. If you don't like that
place for some reason, try the Carambola. The
Buccaneer is in the top ten resorts for many
travel mags.

MY cruise

Answer#5: barbados is relatively cheap and nice. it´s
touristy to the south (mostly brits, since it´s
still technically a british colony), but northern
areas are relatively uncrowded and just beautiful.
i was just there last june on vacation, stayed
both in the south and north ends of the island,
and loved it.
