Question: Anyone know a vacation island that is cheap and worth the trip? Maybe in the Carribean?Hawaii isn't that cheap

Question Description:
Is U.S. Virgin Islands cheap? Bora Bora? Jamacia? Bahamas? Recently went to Hawaii and airfare was $560 roundtrip from CA. Cheaper hotels averaged $100 a night per person for something nice. Gas/Food was same as CA. Any places just as nice but cheaper than that?

Answer#1: I recently went too. I only paid $277/person with American Airline. Stayed at the brand new Wyndham Waikiki Beach Walk Condo for 8 nights. It's a one bedroom condo can fit 4 people comfortably. I paid a total of $1150. My point is, you do need to shop around and plan ahead. Having a vacation in Hawaii is not that expensive if you do a little more research before you go. I also took an inter Island plane to Maui via go! airline, they had an online special and I only paid $49.00 round trip. I love going to Hawaii because it's closer (I'm from CA too). Specially in winter, the time difference is only 2 hours. If you want to try staying at the same hotel I stay last time, you can contact this person Weng at foreverfriend3@hotmail.com. He's a timeshare owner. Also, for inter island flight, try www.iflygo.com for good deal. Gas price is actually lower than CA. It was only $3.19 at Aloha when I was there in May.Another suggestion. If you don't mind the traveling. Thailand is another nice option. Everythings cheap there. Hotels are beautiful and so are the beaches. I wish you next vacation turns out better than the one you just had. Good luck!

Answer#3: Dominican Republic is pretty cheap. You can get an all inclusive flight/hotel for 700.00.
