Question: Honeymoon at Sandals Resort St.Lucia, any advice?

Question Description:
My soon to be husband and I are planning our wedding and honeymoon. We are very interested in the Sandals St.Lucia Regency Resort. If you have been there; please tell us what your experience was like? Did you use any of the outside tours/excursions (horseback riding or hiking)? What restaurants would you recommend? Any and all information would be very helpful, thanks so much!!!

Answer#1: opt for Sandals whitehouse jamaica instead. I am a travel agent and have been to several Sandals resorts but this one is incredible. The setting of the hotel will be an image you have in your head for many years to come - it is breath taking - very green and surrounded by mountains - trust me you wont regret it

Answer#2: Im getting married October 20, 2007 and we are going on our honeymoon to the Sandals regency resort in St lucia.

Answer#3: My husband and I stayed at the Grande St. Lucian for our honeymoon (but we ate at all 3 resorts.)If you like drinking a lot and sitting by the pool all day, it is a great place for you. Great for the types of people who were in fraternities and sororities, I think. People all party together and drink a lot. The people who did just that really loved it there. Also, you're best off if you are a liquor drinker. They only serve 2 beers and both are pretty gross. The wine wasn't much better. Lots of liquor, though! If you want more than drinking by the pool, it is terrible. When we were there, both boats were broken, so we could dive/snorkel or waterski. The excursions outside the resort were fun, but expensive. We liked the one that was a boat ride and trip to volcano and botanical gardens. The restaurants had terrible service (almost an hour to get our drinks at dinner one night -- at the "best" restaurant there!) Also, you have to make reservations for the better restaurants pretty far in advance. I got sick from the food one night, too. The worst part: a guy on the staff walked into our room without knocking one afternoon. He wanted to fill the minibar, but instead he got to see me completely naked. So humiliating. They did refund some of our money, but it took a lot of work and a long time. We talked to a lot of people who hated it and a lot of people who loved it. It all depended on what the people were expecting.

Answer#4: My fiance and I are looking at the same resort for our honeymoon. It looks amazing.
