Question: Can anyone compare these two resorts for me?? We don't know where we want to go yet, but this would help us
Question Description:
decide. Couples resorts or Sandals? I have heard
good about both and some bad about both which
makes it so hard to decide? It will be for a
honeymoon and we want to do alittle of everything,
relax, swim, drink, eat, ride horses, dance, pretty
much want the option to do as we please! Can
anyone give me reasons why you enjoyed or didn't
enjoy either resort? I would really appreciate
your answers, so we can decide on something!!Also
I just wanted to add the resorts we have looked
into are Couples Swept Away, Couples Ocho Rios,
Couples Sans Souci, and Sandals St. Lucian Grand.
We love the idea of all inclusive, but just need
more feedback about these resorts! Thanks again!

Answer#1: My husband and I had our honeymoon at Sandals
Antigua. It was wonderful! The staff was very
attentive (couldn't even tip the bell hop) and
there were lots of activities to choose from.
Four theme restaurants as well as the main dinning
room. Beautiful beach with a western view for
great sunsets. We could have gone scuba diving
every day for free if we had wanted to. We chose
a snorkeling trip to a small sandy island instead.
Lots of water sports and horsebackriding nearby.
Antigua is a small island that lives for its
tourists. Antigua Nice! Sandals, Very Nice!
Answer#2: My husband and I stayed at the Sandal's Halcyon in
St. Lucia.Wonderful time! Could choose to be
active or lounge by the pool!
Answer#3: I have been to hotels from both chains, but not
the Sandals you listed. I love the food at
Couples, but I wasn't crazy about the rooms(it has
been a few years since I went) maybe they
refurbished, but the natural setting at Couples
Ocho Rios I think it was-the one with the private
island was gorgeous. Sandals was more updated and
fresh to me, the food not as good as Couples, just
regular hotels food no Wow factor. For overall
appeal I would choose Sandals and you have so many
Sandals to choose from. I personally loved
Sandals Negril- that was just all around good for
me small and intimate and right on the best beach
with a gorgeous sunset.
Answer#4: Check out this site for reviews and tons of candid
photos. http://www.tripadvisor.comCheck out
the Jamaica Sandals's reviews and go from there. It
really helps to read a bunch of reviews. I feel
most of the reviews on trip advisor are very
sincere and valid. You are spending a good deal of
money and you do need some direction. I would also
go to my local travel agency because they have
many connections and they will be a backup in case
something isn't quite right. We always do our
research but book with a travel agency. They
always match prices and often are cheaper.Good
Luck and Congratulations.
