Question: Is it better to book a honeymoon through a travel agent, or simply do it myself on-line?

Question Description:
I plan on going to St. Lucia with my soon to be wife and stay at a Sandals Resort

Answer#1: your better off on your own. ask about deals do on line searches

Answer#2: I think that depends on your level of adventure. If you like everything planned out and such then yes, get a travel agent. if you have a sense of adventure and want to kind of fly by the seat of your pants... do it yourself.congrats, Good Luck

Answer#3: WITH A TRAVEL AGENT, THERE IS LESS CHANCE OF BEING RIPPED OFF. A TRAVEL AGENT CAN USUALLY GET YOU THE BEST PRICES FOR TOURS AND ORGANIZED ACTIVITIES, LIKE SNORKELING OR DIVING. AND MOST OF THE TIME THE TRAVEL AGENT KNOWS EACH HOTEL SO THEY CAN ADVISE YOU ON YOUR CHOICE.

Answer#4: If you are trying to save extra dollars see what is cheaper for you ? I would try both options.

Answer#5: depends on your budget and how complicated your travel plans will be. From the sounds of it, you might as well book yourself and save yourself some money. It's when you have a lot of stops, layovers, multiple destinations, etc that it doesn't hurt to have a travel agent to fall back on.

Answer#6: You should at least go to a travel agent, since they will have a better ability to find out what is going on when you want to go, room rates, discounts, events on the island, etc...Then you can check on-line for better rates. But I would say go with te travel agent. They can deal with the headache, you will have enough to worry about!
