Question: Has anyone ever stayed at this resort in St. Lucian?
Question Description:
The Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa and resort? In
the Ultra Luxury Beach Rondoval Suite w/ Private
Plunge Pool and whirlpool? If you have I would
love to know what you thought about it and if you
had any suggestions on whether you would recommend
staying there or not? If yes why and if not
why, please I need some help deciding on a
Honeymoon spot and so far this is my top
choice! Thanks for any help given! Also would you
recommend your favorite place to stay while
traveling to these places? I really would like
all- inclusive, I hear that is a much better deal
if you drink and well I drink! And it seems soo
much easier to have all food and drinks paid for!
I like the idea of knowing it's all paid for-
except for the extras we do.

Answer#1: Sorry haven't stayed there, but have heard good
things about it, also about smugglers cove. Try
trip advisor they have plenty of hotel reviews
with pics and a very helpful st. Lucia forum.
Contrary to the previous poster I enjoy St. Lucia
and find the people to be very friendly. I just
returned from my second trip there and had a
wonderful time. The Friday night jump off is
something not to be missed, the music is good,
people friendly, and the fish is excellent. St.
Lucian's love to party. There are a lot of
beautiful sights to see on the island and the
locals really try to make tourists feel welcome.
Answer#2: I haven't stayed at that resort but I've seen it
and been around St Lucia. I find the whole island
to be very depressing. It is a very beautiful
island and a great botannical garden that
Napoleon's Josephine gave to the people. Touring
the island by helicopter is cool. And some great
restaurants. But the people have about 48%
unemployment and it shows in their attitude.
Everyone looks miserable. Dasheen is a fabulous
restaurant to eat and see the sunset (make a
reservation). I didn't care for the island
near as much as other islands I have been to and
wouldn't go back. Have you looked at Tahiti?
Fantastic place for a honeymoon. Takes a good
chunk of money though. Bora Bora or Huahine or do
both. Maybe even Vahini Island Resort for two
nights, then Huahine then Bora Bora. You will love
those places. About 10 to 12 grand for 10 nights
would cover everything.. St Lucia has "Jump
Up" street dances at night and very very loud
music that the locals do and last al night because
too many people have no reason to get up in the
morning. If you want no crowds try the Bahamas,
like Eleuthera, rent a house on a beach where you
will see no one at all probably. Great honeymoon
for just the two of you. Super friendly people.
My vote is Eleuthera or Tahitian Islands for a
honeymoon.
