I am leaving on my own, and I would like to spend
my time writing (my beloved hobby) but also

Answer#1: several years ago i organized a girls trip to
cayman islands. we stayed at a condo place , at
the time it was called London House. right on
seven mile beach. near where the hyatt is now.
we rented it and split the costs. it had a
hammock house where you could take shade from the
beach / slough / nap during the day or evening. it
had a small pool. the condo was like a townhouse
, living room / full kitchen down stairs and
sleeping rooms upstairs. it was great cause we
saved lots of dollars having breakfast/ lunches in
our condo and went out for dinner /drinks at
restaurants. it was perfect for us cause we were
into the beach and didn't really want to dress to
go to restaurants. we were also able to buy in
room adult beverages :-) and save a few dollars.
have a great time. it's quite beautiful. we did
rent a car. they drive on the left and most rental
cars have a lot of dings in them. just write most
of them down on your rental contract and try not
to stress. all the beaches are public, (at least
at the time they were).... so you can go to other
hotels and use their beaches too. i do remember
paying for towels/chairs and renting pool toys.
have a great time!
Answer#2: My suggestion to you is to stay in or near Cayman
Kai. When we go we usually stay in Serenity Kai
condo. Its on the North Side of the island near
Rum Point. You will need to rent a car and we
always rent from Andy's. The car usually has a
couple of dents in it, but you're staying on an
island its not a big deal. Its nice to be on this
side of the island because you do not get the
distraction from cruise ship visitors and its not
extremely touristy. There is Kaibo bar and grill
next door. The food is great and you can connect
to the itnernet wirelessly at no charge. I was
able to email family while having a mudslide.
Starfish point is right around the corner and its
a great place to find starfish bigger than you
hand. Also there is a kayaking trip that leaves
from Kaibo. The best trip is the Bio Cove Night
Adventure. They take you into these coves where
tiny animals light up the water when disturbed.
You can't miss that trip. Another great day trips
are the Sea Turtle Farm and the Botantical
Gardens. Everytime we have gone to the gardens its
been quiet and peaceful. We rarely ran into other
people. Hope you this helps and if you have any
other questions, feel free to shoot me an email.
Answer#3: Hi, There are a few bed an breakfasts in the
cayman islands, if you search Yahoo you can find
them. I would say this, Cayman is not a bargain
travel destination, it is an upper end
destination, things are not cheap, and that helps
keep the standard of living here high. You could
also contact the Cayman Net News, or Cayman
Compass and place an add, best on a Friday, in the
classifieds section. Flights are not that
expensive, comparable to anywhere else, you can
get a direct from London on British Airways, for a
reasonable amount.
