Question #11: Aruba vacation questions?
Is there ever a time of year that the weather is bad? What hotels should we look at?What should we see and do when we are there?

Answer: Well as I'm sure you've seen from the website, it is as advertised, "perfect" and that's all year around. However, I went this May that just passed, and although the trade winds provide some relief...it is HOT. Also, watch the sun down there, use strong sunblock and use it often. As far as hotels go, I would recommend one of the mainstream hotels, i.e. the marriot, the renisance, hotels that you've heard of. We stayed at the Mills Resort and were not happy. The food everywhere on the island is amazing, but a bit pricey at times. Definitely do parasailing, you can see the entire island from the sky. Hope this helps. Enjoy your vacation.

Question #16: For those of you who have been to both, which is the better island for a vacation - Aruba or Antigua?
pleae be specific regarding weather, native people and nightlife/dining - Thanks!

Answer: Weather and native people wise, I would definenty choose Antigua. Antigua was beautiful and my friends and I had such an amazing time there. The natives were so nice, and always willing to point you in the direction of wherever you needed to go. The shopping is also fantastic! For the nightlife, I would say Aruba. Aruba had fantastic nightlife, but the people weren't as friendly and the island at night was a little scary. Both spots are good for dining. If you do choose to go to Antigua, try and stop at "Big Banana Holding Co." They had the best pizza I have ever tasted.Hope this helps!

Question #20: When was the last hurricane in Aruba?
I'm taking a trip in July to Aruba and Curacao. All the resources on the web tell me that both areas are outside the hurricane belt, but I don't buy that. I think hurricanes go wherever they can, and its not like theres an electric fence keeping them within their boundaries, right? Does anyone know the last time either of these areas had a hurricane or severe storm?

Answer: I've heard that Aruba doesnt have hurricanes. I've been to Aruba once before and it had the most beautiful weather. It was extremely hot. I went in August and it definitely rained a little here and there but it would be gone in about 15 minutes. I don't think you should worry.
