Question #25: Where to honeymoon in March 2008? Leaving from ATL, within 4 hours flight time...?
I would love to leave the country for our
well-deserved honeymoon (delayed x15 years.) We
will be renewing vows in Atlanta, and would like
to depart from there. My husband detests boats,
so a cruise is out. We would like to leave the
mainland US. I am having the darndest time
finding a single website that will give me weather
details or predictions for that far in advance for
the Carribbean. I sure don't want to honeymoon in
Puerto Rico (that would be amazing!) only to find
out that I am there during hurricaine season, or
the coldest point of their calendar year. :)Any
assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: Try this site....iBtraveling.comIt'll have a bunch
of ideas for you. Private home rentals...lake
house rentals...just about anything. Enjoy!

Question #26: What is the best all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean to have a wedding & have affordable travel expenses?
I'm currently looking for an amazing boutique
resort in the Caribbean that has an all-inclusive
option for my wedding. Preferably, I would like
to have the ceremony on a cliffside overlooking
the ocean, rather than in the sand. It's very
important for travel expenses (airfare &
hotel) to be affordable for my guests to come. I
would like to keep it around $1,000/person if
possible - or I fear not that many people will
come! Other preferable amenities are great food,
spa services, great service in general, private
beach access if not situated directly on the
beach, water activities/tours (i.e. cruise for
guests around the island), and it would also be
great to be able to fly directly into the island -
has to have its own airport. :) Right now, I'm
trying to stay away Jamaica, Dominican Republic
& Puerto Rico - and Mexico. Also, I think the
U.S. & British Virgin Islands will be too
expensive. Any suggestions? Other islands: St.
Lucia, Bahamas, Grand Cayman, St. Kitts,
Barbados,et
Answer: I respect the fact you want to stay around a
certain budget for your guests. The other thing
to is not everyone is going to either want or can
afford to go for a full week and that rules out
St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Barbados. For the record
I do not work on commission so my answers on not
based on that in any way. Travel IS up in 2007
much more over 2006 so that to will play a factor
into your options. Also when you plan on getting
married, are there charters from your city, how
far in advance you and your guest’s book because
prices increase as availability decreases.Cayman
is VERY expensive so I would cross that off as
well. Bahamas might be doable, but off what you
list that is the only one I foresee as a
"maybe". The 3 places you said no to,
Jamaica, Mexico and Dominican Republic are going
to BE the top choices if price is a big
factor.Depending on which airport you are flying
out of is going to determine if it is non-stop and
please mind you for an All Inclusive 2,000 US
dollars really doesn't go all that far.....then
again it depends on how long you are wanting to do
and stay within 2,000. A lot is going to be how
much airfare is and the rating of the hotel you
choose. Keep in mind that hotels internationally
are not the same rating scale as in the US. So a
3 star there is not like a 3 star here at all. I
have booked hundreds of destination weddings so in
this info I speak from personal experiences of
weddings I have coordinated for
couples.Destination Weddings can be difficult to
coordinate alone. I would strongly suggest
finding a destination wedding specialist in your
area to help you with the planning. Please do me
a favor to, don't use an agent for info only to
just book on your own. If you find a good agent
we really do work VERY hard for you in finding the
best we can for not only what you want for a
wedding location, but within reason of budget.Best
of Luck to you and congrats on your engagement!

Question #28: Where is a beautiful carribean location that I can go to with my guy friend that doesnt mandate passports?
My 20 year old guy friend and myself (also 20)
would like to go on a trip to a carribean
location, or anywhere with clear water that is
atleast 80-90 degrees currently. We don't have
passports and want to go in the next couple of
weeks. There are trips available, however, most
require a passport. We were intending to go on a
cruise, and we would have been able to with valid
birth certificates. However, you must be 21 or be
accompanied by someone 21 or older to do so, so
that has been squashed. Does anyone know of a
cruise line that allows two 20 year olds to go
without passports and someone 21 or older or a
location that we can fly straight to without
necessitating passports? I have flown directly
into the Dominican Republic before with just a
valid birth certificate but do not want to go
there again, looking to go somewhere new. I have
also already been to Puerto Rico. Any suggestions?
Any links would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Answer: Try Saint Thomas or any of the U.S. Virgin
Islands.
