Questions & Answers about Norwegian Cruise
Question #1: Which Cruise Line Has the Best Web Site?
If you have used the web sites for Royal
Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Carnival, Holland
America, Norwegian and/or Disney, which of these
cruise lines sights is best for (1) finding
cruises(2) finding discounts and specials(3)
helping you decide on a cabin(4) understanding
what a cruise is like(5) making it easy to book a
cruise and make payments(6) making it easy to
enter your pre-cruise travel information(7) get
help on the phone when you need itExplain why you
think the web sites you picked are the best?
Answer: i think royal has the best web site. it is well
organized, shows a great layout of each ship, and
their payment method i think is the best. royal
caribbean will work with you while some lines such
as carnival and disney make you pay half of it at
booking.royal even has sections on if ur a new
cruiser or if you have cruised but not on
royal..disney automatically adds insurance and
other stuff on the bill and you have to remove it
yourself.. disney is only good if your trying to
add extra cribs, rollaway, high chairs to your room
or dinner arrangement.carnival always has popus
for a phone operator so if you really need to get
ahold of someone i guess that would be nice but
otherwise some of their website is disorganized

Question #2: Is it me or is Norwegian Cruise Line HORRIBLE?
I have went on Royal Caribbean and had a blast. I
went to Hawaii and went on Norwegian...got treated
very badly and they had the "great" idea
of free style dining. After the first night you
couldn't get into a restaurant that was good. The
pool deck bar closed at 8:30pm! The bars in ship
were empty with the exception of a few old
people...In one case when at dinner, my girlfriend
got her order taken and the waitress walked off
and didn't take mine for another 10 minutes when I
called her back over to the table, honestly that
was the worst server I have ever had...Every
restaurant in my hometown has better servers then
this. Luckily Hawaii is awesome and I got some
good Kona bud so the tripped turned out okay.
Taking another trip over new years with roal
caribbean, Since it is new years there is nornally
quite a few partiers and less party poopers (ncl)I
am American first off. The NCL cruise I went on
wasn't international, so it had a American Staff.
That I think is a big problem right there. We as
Americans have so many rights that this is a
possibility as of why it wasn't as nice. They
aren't going to get fired on the spot and sent
home like international staffs. The largest part
of the NCL staff is not getting paid through tips,
so why try hard? why not slack like we are doing
right now (on the clock typing on yahoo)?
Answer: I traveled wiht Norwegian once and didn't consider
it the best but it wasn't bad either..... just
maybe not as fun and people (crew) not as warm. My
best experience was with Costa Cruiseline, and I
would definitely travel with them again.
Norwegian..... I don't know, perhaps but not
really eager to do so. I just don't think they
suck, though. I love cruises...... hope your next
experience is nicer.

Question #3: Big difference between oceanview and inside rooms on cruises?
I am planning on cruising the caribbean in january
on the norwegian cruise line ship Spirit. I was
just wondering if there really is a big difference
between the oceanview and inside rooms on a cruise
ship. does is really matter to have that tiny
window? do u get clustrophobic without it? any
opinions on this are helpful!
Answer: It does not matter!!! Ugh, those rooms are so
small, regardless of locale (unless you are rich
and get a suite) that you are only there to sleep
and pee. Seriously!

Question #5: Who has been on a cuise?! Is the drinking age enforced?
Specifically on roayl caribbean and norwegian. My
boyfriend will be 25 but I'm not quite 21 just
yet. Would he be able to buy me drinks? Will they
question my age if I buy a drink? We want to be
able to relax and not have to worry about all this
when we get on the ship. Thanks.
Answer: I had some wine when I was 15 on a cruise at the
dinner table. Nobody cared. But once my friend did
it, and they gave him a warning. Then he did it
again, and they threw him overboard....seriously,
what's the worst thing that can happen?

Question #6: Norwegian OR Royal Caribbean Cruises?
which one do you prefer? and why? trying to decide
between the two. norwegian offers freestyle but i
want a cruise that is fun, has good food and
customer service.
Answer: I prefer NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line) over Royal.
It's the freestyle cruising that gets me. I hate
the idea of someone telling when to eat, how to
dress when I eat, and where I must sit while I
eat. NCL is fun! I have sailed with them 3 times
and had fun on every trip.

Question #7: Are cruises fun? We're thinking about going on the 5 day Western Caribbean Norwegian Pearl Cruise?
Has anyone ever been on this cruise? How does it
compare to other cruise lines like Royal
Caribbean? I guess it appealed to us because it's
"freestyle" which means we won't need to
dress up for dinner and we can eat whenever we
want. Also the NCL Pearl is new, built in 2007
which should be good. The port stops are Cozumel
and Belize City. This will be my first cruise so
any opinions would be greatly appreciated :)
Answer: I've been on 2 cruises to the Caribbean via
Carnival cruise lines and had a great time on
both. Since Carnvial is considered to be a
lesser-quality cruise line and I had a blast with
them, I can only imagine the higher rated cruise
lines would be that much more fun.Cozumel is small
and you can rent a car/jeep and drive the whole
island in a couple of hours (the road just makes a
big circle). There is a pretty coastline, a nature
park/lighthouse at one end with things to see and
do, all kinds of bars along the beach to stop and
have a cocktail, some Mayan ruins, and some
touristy shopping and activities. I've been to
Cozumel twice...no stops in Belize though so don't
know about it.I love travelling on a ship and
taking my "hotel" with me! ☺ Am
planning a Mediterranean cruise in the Fall, but
not sure which cruise line we'll use.Enjoy!
